Psychosocial Stage of Development Paper
Erik Erikson was a psychoanalyst who true the theory of psychosocial organic evolution. Erikson believed that the achievements and failures of early childhood maps influence the posterior stages whereas later stages modify and transform earlier ones (Erikson, 2011). Erik Eriksons Psychosocial theory explains eighter from Decatur developmental stages in which physical, cognitive, instinctual, and sexual changes combine to generate an indwelling crisis whose resolution results in either psychosocial regression or festering and the development of specific virtues (Erikson, 2011, par. 1). Included in this story result be an explanation of the eight stages of Eriksons psychosocial theory, and the current stages of development that I am currently in. The paper will entangle an explanation of how my current psychosocial stage of development influences my behavior and relationships.

The eight stages of Eriksons psychosocial theory are, stage one; trust versus mistrust. This stage is the infancy stage, and the goal at this stage is to develop hope. An infant relies wholly on his or her caregivers, which creates trust, affection and the reliance on his or her caregivers. A lack of proper affection can postulate to mistrust.
