There are umpteen difference customss throughout the country. To compare my family tradition to anothers could be difficult in some cases. I am going to attempt to compare and contrast the way my family celebrates Thanksgiving, Christmas and quaternate of July.
A thanksgiving tradition usu solelyy consist of mashed potatoes, passion ham, a juicy turkey, green beans, a mix of grandmas pies and family of course. The precisely thing my family has in common with the all American tradition is the family array. in any case the family part, our tradition is like no other, that Ive witnessed. scratch line we start out with the usual cocktail here and there, the meet and with child(p) with the family as they arrive at Grammys house on Thanksgiving Day. Then after everyone has arrived with their specialty of yummy goodness, we all place it on a long table and everyone helps their self. normal right? Well besides turkey and ham we pretend juicy crab legs and lobster the size of a small dog. Besides green beans and mashed potatoes we return crabmeat stuffing and conch fritters. Our Thanksgiving day usually consist of up to twelve plus couples, so you can imagine with everyone bringing their own seafood specialty how often food we have on the table.
This is a tradition that I am so blessed to be a part of, not only to have a go at it time with family but to enjoy the tasty seafood treats as well.
Another tradition my family has is going to my Grammys house on Christmas Eve followed by Santa Clause see us Christmas Eve. We start out with dinner and drinks, drinks are a tradition in itself with my family. Then we wait for Aunt Kim and Uncle Jeff to carry up, they are usually tardy. While we wait for the rest of the family to arrive, we have to calm the boors down and tell them to relax and that we cant open gifts until everyone gets there.
