The oppression of women and minorities springs to mind when we think of the word, “discrimination.” After all, women struggled for years for comparability and minorities fought long and hard to overcome the disadvantages that have been associated with race. Due to neighborly engineering, discrimination against the white male is a subject which has been label by our society as taboo and has largely been ignored, yet there is a fact which remains. Companies not in respect with Executive Order 11246 must hire women and minorities to reach fortune “goals” which legally discriminates against white men.
Most people are quite an familiar with the term “affirmative action.



” Affirmative Action’s origin can be traced to the Title VII of the complaisant Rights Act (1964), Unlawful Employment Practices which states,
It shall be an unlawful engagement practice for an employment agency to fail or defy to
refer for employment, or otherwise to discriminate against, any individualistic because of his race,
color, religion, fetch up or national origin, or to classify or refer for employment any individual on
the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin.”
(Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, 1964, Section 703)
The follow Employment Opportunity Commission was then created to uphold accomplished rights and equal opportunity in the workplace.
