Located on Patterson Road to the south of the University partition in Eugene, the YMCA is a year round facility ground on youth development. They offer summer camps, barbarianc be services, and sports programs. The YMCA is a renowned, national organization with the purpose to build watertight kids, strong families and strong communities.

The camps are located in various places around the capital of Illinois/Eugene area and are for all ages.
The major strength of the YMCA is that it is a trusted and well-known organization. Due to the organizations popularity, YMCA locations are besides usually well-funded with good facilities. Their major weaknesses in thoroughfare County however are location and cost. For the entire county at that place is solo one branch, located in Eugene. Families in areas outside of south Eugene may then find it out of the way or difficult to consider to. Since the YMCA also charges a fee, rugged-income families are little likely to use their facilities.

Boys and Girls Club of Emerald Valley:
The Boys and Girls Club is also a well-known, national organization based around child development. In Lane County, The Boys and Girls Club of Emerald Valley calls itself the Positive come in for Kids. With two locations, Westmoreland and Cottage Grove, they are able to reach a large number of children in the greater Eugene area. The club is outdoors to all children ages 6-18 who pay an annual membership fee of $20. This low membership cost is one of their biggest strengths and attracts many low-income families. During the summer there is an extra charge of $10/day for parents who wish to address their children to summer club that takes place each morning.
